I am fairly new to 3D, however I have great passion for learning it and as much as how daunting it is to think about using it for final year project without skills, I believe I can use my fast learning and problem solving skills.
In 3D, the main two elements I wanted to understand first was texturing and modelling. I will post my progress videos and sites I got information from in the RESEARCH category. A lot of the times I didn’t quite understand these videos or at least if I tried to perform the task there would bound to be an obstacle which takes me days to find an answer to. Usually I find answers through similar questions other users asked on forums. The process of trial and improvement and rinsing energy per day on the tiniest obstacles do tire me however when I thought about it, I learnt much more than what I ever knew before in 3D and that’s the big push I had.
*The processes aren’t in order as I was pretty much everywhere*
Modelling , Texturing&UV Wrapping:
Day 1 Results
Learnt more on Lighting too. This is a free rig provided by Blender, I used this to benefit my vision of character creation for my story.
These are render tests after some experiments in UV wrapping
I was very happy with these results after sculpting over the free rig (even though per frame takes 15 minutes to render…)I coloured this in photoshop and made sure that the haircut (low fade) was accurately joining.
Rigging & Animation:

test
I am happy with the result of this, I imagined how I excessively blink in pressure and I was able to recreate the moves through shape keys. The ending needs to be trimmed off.

Rendering:
EEVEE (10 seconds Render Time)
CYCLES (20 minutes render time)
Throughout most of my time learning blender I was using Cycles render engine as it was default but I had no clue about EEVEE, its a fairly new engine. Cycles is a path tracing render engine which is much more slower than eevee. Eevee wasn’t as great quality but the time it took to render was much faster. From here I decided to optimize eevee settings for the better. One more benefit I saw in EEVEE is, it’s real-time engine allows me to animate whilst seeing a fair output quality in real time which is a big plus for animators and reduced my fears by a ton.
